William Urbancic

WILLIAM J. “BILL” URBANCIC age 73, beloved husband for 28 years of Jacqueline (nee Zombory); loving father of Brenda Urbancic and step-father of Steve (wife Sandra) and Michael Zombory (wife Michele); devoted grandfather of Steven, Paige, Madison and Nathan Zombory; cherished son of the late William M. and Dorothy V. (nee Perse); dearest brother of Dorie Cerny (husband Lou), Bob, Don and Alan Urbancic (wife Jacque); dear uncle and great-uncle of many. U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran.

Bill was born on September 10, 1945 in Cleveland and passed away on May 20, 2019. He was a resident of Novelty for 28 years, previously residing in Kirtland and a member of Mayfield Baptist Church. Bill graduated from Euclid High School in 1963 and received his bachelor’s degree from Cleveland State University. He retired in 2007 from Ford Motor Company after 42 years as a metal pattern maker. Bill loved bowling, bocce, sprint car racing and traveling the United States. He was a reserved, quiet and hardworking man who was devoted to his family. Bill loved animals especially his dog Tabby. He will be dearly missed.

Celebration of Life Service Friday, May 24, 2019 at 11 AM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Burial following with Military Honors at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Bill at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) THURSDAY 4-8 PM.
