WILLIAM F. PARKER age 90, beloved husband for 42 years of Marie (nee Sprenger); loving father of Diane Smith (husband Robert, deceased) and the late William and Kenneth; step-father of Donald and Gerianne Pandolfi; devoted grandfather of Sheridan Vecchio (husband Salvatore), William Stull (wife Kristian), Johnathan Eperesi (wife Larissa), Jake Parker, Dawn MacAvoy (husband James), Joanna Overholt (husband Scott), Matthew Parker, Shannon Alfonso (husband Tom) and the late Dominique Rogowski and great-grandfather of many; dearest brother of the late Mary Budan.
Bill was born on September 8, 1926 in Cleveland and passed away on June 20, 2017. He was a resident of Euclid for over 35 years, formerly of Chesterland. Bill graduated from Collinwood High School and Lakeland Community College. He was a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) and had a pilot license. Bill was a WWII US Navy and Korean Veteran. He was a captain in the Civil Air Patrol and a member of the VFW. Bill worked for the city of Cleveland as a firefighter and electrician. He loved flying, photography, drawing, working with tools and was a great handyman who loved fixing everything. Bill was family oriented, a man of many talents, led a full life and was the patriarch and leader of the family. He will be remembered as a social, funny, witty, very loyal, generous and giving man especially to family. He was proud of just renewing his driver’s license at age 90. Bill was the glue of the family and will be dearly missed.
Celebration of Life Service Monday, June 26, 2017 at 10 AM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Burial following with Military Honors at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Bill at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) SUNDAY 2-6 PM.
