WILLIAM J. “BILL” MORTON, JR. age 71. Beloved husband of Jan. Loving father of William J. III (wife Mary DePalma-Morton); cherished grandfather of Jackson and Sammy; dear son of the late William J. Sr. and Betty (nee Berkey); dear brother of Michael L. (wife Judy); fond uncle of Michael L. Jr. (wife Annie), Dawn M. Kanupp (husband Brian) and great uncle of many.
Bill passed away April 10, 2013, at Altercare of Mayfield Village, following a brief illness. Born Dec. 22, 1941, in Cleveland, he was a founding member of MidTown Cleveland and a U.S. Army veteran. He was the former president of The Cleveland Canvas Goods Mfg. Co., which he ran until his retirement in 2003. Bill enjoyed traveling, working out, gardening, planting trees and loved cars. He enjoyed listening to Johnny Cash, Marty Roberts and Willie Nelson and spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a gregarious, outgoing, positive man who engaged others and was always hopeful.
Mass of Christian Burial Monday, April 15, 2013 at St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church at 10 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Bill at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SUNDAY 3-7 PM.
