William Hornyak

WILLIAM F. HORNYAK, age 82; cherished father of Greg and Valerie Evans (formerly Yezzi); devoted grandfather of Christian (wife Kim) Yezzi, Angelica (husband Ray) Griener, Alyssa Yezzi (Patrick Ripple), Evan and William Yezzi, the late triplets Isidore, Edwina and William Yezzi, and great-grandfather of Aina Billings; cherished brother of Robert Hornyak and the following deceased: John, Margaret Vojtko, Elizabeth Thomas, Helen, Eddie and Elmer; dear uncle and great-uncle of many.

Mr. Hornyak died early on Friday December 9, 2011 at Hospice House in Cleveland. He was born on November 13, 1929 in Cleveland. He was a resident of Mayfield Heights, previously living in Bedford Hts. and California.
A proud veteran of the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict, he had a very successful career with Picker International as their Cost Accountant and previously had worked for Bank of America and Columbia Studios where he was proud to say he gave the Three Stooges their paychecks. Bill attended John Carroll University. He loved taking care of his family and was proud to be a large part of his grandchildren’s lives. He particularly enjoyed taking them out for birthdays.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 10:00 AM. Burial following in All Souls Cemetery. The family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Bill at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) on FRIDAY from 3:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Prayer and Eulogy Service at 7:30 PM
