William Eline

WILLIAM B. ELINE age 88, beloved husband of the late Alice (nee Rybicki) and Eva Hedman; loving father of Ann Monroe (husband Joseph), Susan White (husband William), William G. (wife Lee Ann), Michael (wife Roberta) and step-father of Eva and Lars Hedman; devoted grandfather of Susan Monroe (Kent Keilwitz), Katherine Monroe (Nelson Jantzen), Colleen Monroe (John Munro), Robert and Victor White, Kathleen Eline (Andrew Kobyljanec), William, Elizabeth, Christopher and Thomas Eline and great-grandfather of 4; cherished son of the late Thomas and Marie (nee Dolan); dearest brother of the late Rita Farrell (husband Robert, deceased); dear uncle and great-uncle of many. WW II U.S. Army Veteran.

Bill was born on May 29, 1927 in Cleveland and passed away on March 14, 2016. He was a resident of Chesterland since 1997, formerly of Naples, Florida and Shaker Heights, Ohio. Bill was a parishioner at St. Helen Catholic Church, previously a parishioner of Gesu Catholic Church. He graduated from Cathedral Latin High School and John Carroll University. Bill was a member of the Chagrin Valley Country Club and was a sales executive with Terex, a division of General Motors. He loved golf, fishing, traveling and bird watching. Bill will be remembered most by his family as a fun loving party guy who loved people. He will be greatly missed.

Contributions may be made in Bill’s memory to St. Helen Catholic Church 12060 Kinsman Road, Newbury, OH 44065. Relatives and friends are invited to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, March 19, 2016 at St. Helen Catholic Church at 10 AM. Private Inurnment will take place at Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Bill at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) FRIDAY 5-8 PM.
