WILLIAM E. WOOD, age 77. Beloved husband for 28 years of Joanne A. Schoen, M.D and the late Betty (nee Kramer). Loving father of Teri Guerin (husband Jeffery) and Thomas (wife Carol). Devoted grandfather of Christin McWilliams (husband Dustin), Jeffery and Brian Guerin, Alisha Essex (husband Steven), Joel Wood and great-grandfather of Brennen, Maiya and Molly. Cherished brother of Yvonne Meadows (husband William, deceased). Dearest brother-in-law of Rosemary Schoen. Dear uncle of many.

Bill was the Owner/operator of Janco Petroleum Inc., an oil and gas drilling company, a former member of Acacia Country Club and current member of Quail Hollow. He loved boating, fishing, golf, snow and water skiing. He also had a love for music and had his own dance band and loved the music from the 50’s. He was a fun loving, compassionate, friendly outgoing person who never met a stranger.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, April 19, 2012 at St. Noel Catholic Church at 10 AM. Entombment following at All Souls Mausoleum. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Bill at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) WEDNESDAY 2-4 and 5-8 PM.
