Wilbert Shibko

WILBERT G. “BILL” SHIBKO age 95, beloved husband for 60 years of the late Nancy Ellen (nee Whitworth); loving father of Richard (wife Pamela), Lynne Shibko, and Beth Benko (husband Charles); devoted grandfather of Patrick Milyo (wife Carly), Sean  Milyo, Michael (wife Kelsey), Jessica  (Michael Kettler), Charles, Luke, and Leah Benko and great-grandfather of Channing, and Nolan. WWII U.S. Navy Veteran.

Bill, was born July 2, 1924 in Cleveland, and resided in Richmond Heights for the last 8 years; Willoughby Hills and Highland Heights in years prior. He entered into eternal rest on June 30, 2020, in Mayfield Village.  After attending Western Reserve University, Bill went to work at the Eaton Corporation as an Accountant. Bill enjoyed fishing, spending time tending to his garden, and playing pinochle & solitaire.  He also liked bowling, dancing, and wood working. His favorite music was polka and big band. Wilbert was fun loving, devoted to his wife and family, very social, hard-working, and will be missed by many.

Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, July 11, 2020 at St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church at 10:30 AM (MASKS REQUIRED) with Military Honors after Mass. Cremation following by DeJohn Crematory. Private Burial at Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Bill at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) FRIDAY, July 10, 2020, 4-8 PM. (Masks preferred and social distancing will be observed.)
