WENDY RENEE GARDNER (nee Chermak) age 47; beloved wife for 17 years of James; devoted mother of Justin and Luke; cherished daughter of Donna (nee Brookover) and Alan Chermak; loving sister of John (Gwen) Chermak of VA and Steven (Linda) Chermak of MI; dearest daughter-in-law of the late Elizabeth and Thomas Gardner; dear sister-in-law of Kathy, Mary (Ted) Poulos, Susie (Frank) O’Linn, Tom, Bill (Lisa), Patty (Keith) Kallenborn, Sally (George) Gregory, Chris (Vicky), Paul (Wendy), Rob, John (Diane) and David (Gina); adored niece, aunt, cousin and friend of many.
Wendy was a resident of Kirtland for 16 years. She grew up in Parma. She was a parishioner of Divine Word Catholic Church, a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and a volunteer for the Kirtland Football Moms. She was a graduate of Normandy High School and Ohio University (with a major in Political Science). Wendy worked as an administrator at Selman and Company in the IT Department for 20 years. In her free time, she enjoyed running, reading, and spending time with her family. Her family will fondly remember her as a loving wife, mother, and daughter. She enjoyed being involved in the community, sharing holidays with family, and taking vacations at the beach.

Mass of Christian Burial SATURDAY, September 13, 2014, at Divine Word Catholic Church at 11:30 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Wendy at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) THURSDAY 2-5 and 6-8 PM. PLEASE NOTE: NO SERVICES SCHEDULED ON FRIDAY.
