WALLACE J. MALONE, age 88; beloved husband for 46 years of Florence M. (nee Toth); cherished son of the late George W. and Anastasia (nee Rossiter); dearest brother of the late James C. (wife Ruth, deceased), William G. (wife Dora, deceased) and Alice Schloss (husband William, deceased); dear uncle and great-uncle of many.

Wally proudly served his country in World War II in the U.S. Army, was wounded in Normandy Beach and was recipient of the Purple Heart. After attending St. Ann Catholic School and graduating from Cathedral Latin High School, Wally lived in Solon and attended St. Rita Catholic Church until he moved to Bainbridge and joined Holy Angels Catholic Church 15 years ago. He was the owner and accountant of a sponge distributor business. A member of the Eastside Irish American Club, Wally also played golf and football and was a fan of the Browns and Cleveland Indians. His family will remember him as quiet, unassuming, honest, friendly and able to “find the heart” in everyone he met.

Contributions may be made in Wally’s memory to the charity of your choice. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 12 NOON at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 18205 Chillicothe Road Bainbridge, Ohio. Burial following with Military Honors at All Saints Cemetery. The family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Wally at the Church on SATURDAY MORNING FROM 11:00 AM to 12 Noon.
