VIVIAN M. SULLIVAN (nee Cernigoj) age 77, beloved wife for 53 years of Robert; loving mother of Ursula Cooperider (husband Todd) and Tim; devoted grandmother of Gabby, Brandon, Cameron, and Drew; cherished daughter of the late Tony and Faye (nee Krnel) Cernigoj; dearest sister of the late Alan Cernigoj (wife Jean).
Viv was born in Cleveland on August 8, 1941, and passed away on August 16, 2018. A resident of Highland Heights since 1966, Viv was a member of St. Pascal Baylon parish. She graduated from Collinwood High School and stayed active with her classmates. Viv was active with the American Field Service (AFS), an international youth exchange organization. An avid gardener and painter, Viv was a member of the Mayfield Art Group and the Highland Heights Garden Club. She was affectionately called the “Mother Nature of Groovy Gardeners,” and was inspired to create paintings of her backyard flowers. Viv and her husband Robert spent their winters in Florida, where they lived at The Recreation Plantation RV resort near The Villages retirement community. They enjoyed all the activities there, especially dancing, playing cards, Scrabble, and bocce. Viv was known for being bubbly and upbeat, and she was always smiling. She was strong and courageous, always stayed positive, and was never stressed. She will be dearly missed.
Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Viv at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) TUESDAY 4-8 PM.
