Virginia J. Burchard

VIRGINIA J. BURCHARD (nee Jordan), aged 86 years, beloved wife for 48 years to the late Charles W., dearest mother of David C. (wife Carol), Karen Huffman (husband Timothy) and Ann Barber (husband Robert), loving grandmother of 8 and great-grandmother to be, cherished daughter of the late Paul B. and Helen (nee Walker) Jordan, devoted sister of Frances Christy (husband Richard) (both deceased) and Robert Jordan (wife Caroline), fond aunt and grand-aunt to many.

Ginny was born in Cleveland on May 26, 1934 and passed away on February 15, 2021. She lived in Highland Heights for nearly 50 years, and was a member of Mayfield United Methodist Church. Ginny graduated from Cleveland Heights High School in 1952, and from DePauw University in 1956. While at DePauw she pledged the Indiana Epsilon chapter of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She stayed active in Pi Beta Phi throughout her life, receiving the Golden Arrow and serving as president of the Cleveland East Alumnae Club from 2007-2009. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021 at Mayfield United Methodist Church, 7747 Mayfield Rd., Chesterland (44026) at 10:30 AM. Interment following in Lake View Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Virginia at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just East of Green Rd.) FRIDAY 4-7 PM. Masks and social distancing observed.
