VIRGINIA J. HINKLE (nee AKINS) age 83, beloved wife for 63 years of the late Leonard J. Hinkle; loving mother of Beverly Doganiero and Kimberly Hinkle (David Strnad); devoted grandmother of Clinton Hinkle (wife Amy), Richard (fiancé Jamie), and Michael Doganiero; cherished daughter of the late Rev. Virgil and Mattie (nee Witt) Akins; dearest sister of the late Robert Akins (wife Delores, deceased), Mary Moses (husband Berry, deceased), and Fred Akins (wife Audrey, deceased); dear aunt and great-aunt of many.
Virginia was born on December 20, 1937 in Cleveland, Ohio and passed away on January 3, 2021. She was a resident of Willoughby Hills for 45 years and a member of the Euclid Church of God. She devoted almost 30 years as a Hospitality Manager in the hotel industry before retirement. Virginia loved her family, especially time spent together going on vacation and gathering for the holidays. She maintained longtime church and work friendships, which she was very grateful for. Virginia was very friendly, devoted and hardworking woman, who always made you feel welcome. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
The family expresses gratitude to family and friends for their prayers, as well as gives thanks to Hospice of the Western Reserve for the care they provided Virginia in her home.
Graveside Service Monday, January 11, 2021 at 1:30 PM at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, 11521 Chillicothe Rd., Chesterland, Ohio.
Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Virginia at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) MONDAY 12 NOON to 1PM
