Violet M. Kosmetos

Violet M. Kosmetos (nee Bratel) age 93, beloved wife for 70 years of the late Michael; loving mother of G. Michael (wife Laura), Jeffrey and the late Stephanie; devoted grandmother of Kristen Kosmetos (husband Luke DeJeu); cherished daughter of the late Marie (nee Thurieau) and Marcus Bratelj; dearest sister of the late Marcus and Jack Bratel. Violet was born on June 19, 1930 and passed away at her residence in Euclid July 6, 2023. She grew up in Euclid where she resided for 93 years. She was active in the PTA at Euclid Central Junior High and Glenbrook Elementary School. She was active in the campaign of Governor and Senator George Voinovich and Congresswoman Frances Bolton. She was also active in local Euclid politics and helped to manage her husband’s campaign in Euclid for council. She was a Euclid High School graduate in 1948 and then attended the Cleveland Institute of Music. She was a homemaker and also an accomplished pianist and played the oboe. She loved riding motorcycles and was an avid Cavs fan. Her family remembers her as a smart gifted musician.
