Viola Milite

VIOLA ROSE MILITE (nee Ceccarelli), age 89; beloved wife for 60 years of the late Dante; cherished mother of Kathleen Waggle (husband Robert), Jacqueline Minotas (husband Gregory) and Lisa Ferrando (husband John); devoted grandmother of Matthew Waggle (wife Nicole), Brian Minotas (wife Lisa), Stephanie Calabrese (husband Dave), Lauren Minotas, Julia and Nicholas Ferrando, and great-grandmother of Madison, Gianna, Rex, Braden and Nora; dearest daughter of the late Gemma (nee Zucca) and Aurelio Ceccarelli; loving sister of Edith Manfroni (husband Frank, deceased); dear aunt and great-aunt of many. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Viola’s memory to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave. Cleveland, 44110-2602.

Viola was a resident at Governor’s Village, previously residing in Highland Heights, Richmond Heights, Euclid and in Little Italy, where she was born and raised. Viola graduated from Jane Adams High School and began working as a Beautician with May Co. where she stayed for 5 years. Many remember her as a Cashier with the Euclid Schools for 30 years, where she retired from. Viola was a member of I.S.D.A. South Euclid Lodge. She loved to crotchet, read, travel, pray the rosary and her meetings with her “Girls Club.” She was religiously devoted to her faith, her children and grandchildren. She loved especially family picnics and holiday dinners and her travels with her late husband, Dante. Viola was the ‘perfect 50s housewife’, always a great cook making homemade creations and most especially always smiling. Viola was a no-nonsense lady, never outspoken and loved by all.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 1:30 PM. Burial following in Lake View Cemetery. The family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Viola at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) TUESDAY 4-8 PM.
