Vinko Kaplan

VINKO KAPLAN age 92, beloved husband for 63 years of the late Angela (nee Dejak); loving father of Vincent, Mary, Emil; cherished son of the late Janez and Maria (nee Oswald); dearest brother of the late Joseph, Mary Semen, and France; dear uncle and great-uncle of many.

Vinko was born on September 19, 1928 in Ribnica, Slovenia and passed away on September 21, 2020 in Richmond Heights, Ohio. Vinko put faith and family above all else. He was a loving father and husband. Devoted to his faith, he was a lifelong member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church and KSKJ Lodge#226. He enjoyed working in his yard and gardening, as well as simply spending time with his bird Buddy. Vinko will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Contributions may be made in memory of Vinko to St. John of the Cross Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, September 26, 2020 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 140 Richmond Rd, Cleveland, OH 44143, at 9:30AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Vinko at THE ZEVNIK-COSIC FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) FRIDAY 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
