Vincent D’Alessandro

VINCENT D’ALESSANDRO, age 97. Beloved husband for 48 years of Elia G. (nee Sebastianelli). Loving father of JoAnn Ovnic (husband Joe) Cherished grandfather of Matthew, Christina “Nina”, and Claire. Loving son of the late Joseph and Concetta (nee Trivisonno) and Carmella (nee Sabetta). Dear brother of Clara Catliota (husband Frank deceased), John L. (deceased) (wife Rose Monastra) and John (deceased). Dear brother-in-law of Sam and JoAnn Sebastian, and James Monastra. Dear uncle, great-uncle, and godfather to many. Manager of the Women’s Alterations Department for the former Halle Bros. where he worked for 48 years. Head Ma tre D’ at Casa di Borally for 15 years following his retirement from Halle’s. Founding member of the Ripalimosani Social Union Club. Vincent loved bowling, golfing, and playing cards. He also was an avid reader of history and translator of Italian. Vince, a true gentleman, will be most remembered for his love of family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Interment Lake View Cemetery.

The family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Vince at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) on Friday, March 19, 2010 from 22-4 and 5-8 PM.
