Vincent Casarona

VINCENT F. CASARONA age 92, beloved husband for 72 years of Wilda L. (nee Sutton); loving father of Carolyn DeMell (husband Albert), Shirley Kebhart (husband Kenneth) and Leigh Ann Sperk (husband James); devoted grandfather of 8 and great-grandfather of 9; cherished son of the late Salvatore and Caroline (nee Traviglia); dearest brother of the late Frank (wife Dorothy, deceased); dear family friend June Bouha; dear uncle and great-uncle of many.

Vince was born on July 10, 1924 in Cleveland and passed away on June 15, 2017. He was a resident of Lyndhurst since 1953, formerly of Cleveland. Vince married the love of his life, Wilda on October 7, 1945. He has been a member of St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church since the parish was founded in 1953 where he was a member of the Holy Name Society and an usher. Vince graduated from East Tech High School in 1942 and was the owner/operator of Supreme Cleaners and Laundry. He was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran and worked for 14 years in security at the Art Museum. Vince was a sports fan and enjoyed bowling and gardening in his spare time. Spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren gave Vince the most enjoyment in life. Family picnics, Thanksgiving and most other holidays were special times that Vince enjoyed with his family. He will be remembered most as a good husband, wonderful father, and family-oriented man. Vince was fun loving, hardworking and very busy people person. He will be dearly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Burial following with Military Honors at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Vince at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) MONDAY 3-5 & 6-8 PM.
