Victor Bando

Victor J. Bando, age 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 28, 2018. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on September 23, 1927 to the late Salvatore and Rose (nee Dublo) Bando. Victor attended John Adams High School and was inducted in the U. S. Army in 1945. At the end of WW II, Victor returned home and married the love of his life, Eve, on January 17, 1948.

Victor worked for Cleveland Trinidad Paving Company and retired in 1986. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion Post 0104, and VFW. He spent his free time golfing, bowling, watching all sports and spending time with his grandchildren. Victor especially lived to teach his grandchildren how to play baseball. His family described him as a very kind-hearted man that put everybody first.

Victor is survived by his children Victor J. Bando, Jr. (wife Shirley), and Bob Bando (wife Mary deceased); grandchildren Tony Bando (wife Kathy), Joe Bando (wife Amanda), Michael Bando, Nicholas Bando, Joseph Bando, and great grandchildren Audriana, Emily, Ryan and Eva Marie Bando; siblings Helen Strazzanti (husband John deceased), Rose Anselmo (Tony deceased), and Sam (wife Josephine); and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Victor is proceeded in death by his wife of 68 years, Eve M. (nee Colagio) Bando, who died January 24, 2016; his parents, and siblings Joe Bando (wife Clara), Barbara Monachino (husband Frank), Angelo Bando (wife Helen), Ben Bando (wife Angela), Tom Bando (wife Mary), twin Manuel Bando, and John Bando (wife Lucille).

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Victor at the THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD ROAD (Just East of Green Road) SUNDAY 2- 6 PM.
