VICTOR B. BERNER age 95, beloved husband for 42 years of Jacqueline (nee Lesar); father of Mary Lou and the late Victor; cherished son of William and Viola (nee Meyer); dearest brother of RoseMarie Worthington (husband Wayne) and the late Herman and Betty Stark (husband Nicholas deceased); uncle and great-uncle of many. WWII US Army Veteran.
Victor was born on April 10, 1922 and peacefully passed away on February 21, 2018. He was a resident of Mayfield Heights and moved to Chardon after he married the love of his life Jacqueline, where they lived for 40 years. Victor graduated from Mayfield High School in 1940 and worked as an Engineering Technician for GE. He was also a proud WWII US Army Veteran. Victor enjoyed servicing clocks of all sizes and types, but especially Grandfather clocks. He loved listening to organ music and even taught himself how to play the Organ. Victor especially enjoyed going to the beach and going out to dinner with Jacqueline. He was down-to-Earth, optimistic, kind, and loved animals especially his dear cat “Tabby”. Victor had a good sense of humor and loved to kid around and banter with those around him. He will be dearly missed by all.
Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Private Graveside service will take place with Military Honors at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Arrangments by THE DeJOHN Funeral Home & Crematory of Chardon (formerly Ritondaro).
