Veronica White

VERONICA A. WHITE (nee Koss) age 93, beloved wife of the late Charles E. Sr.; loving mother of Clare Cook (husband Brian), Robert (wife D’Ann), and the late Charles E. Jr.; devoted grandmother of Colleen, Kenneth (wife Natalee), Daniel Cook, and great-grandmother of Emilee and Ella; cherished daughter of the late Lawrence and Barbara (nee Klucarich) Koss; treasured sister of Marie Kneier and the late Barbara Celinscak, Peter, Nicholas, Paul, and Larry Koss, Anne Tomec, Catherine Robertson, and Florence Dick; dear aunt and great aunt of many.

Veronica was born September 4, 1922 in Midland, PA and passed away January 12, 2016 in Garfield Heights. Veronica attended high school in Pennsylvania, earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Seton Hill University and did her post-graduate studies at University of Michigan. She worked in Tax Payer Service for the IRS and as a dietitian for Cleveland Clinic. Veronica has been a member of St. Clare Catholic Church for over 50 years and was also involved in the American Dietetic Association, the American Library Association, the American Red Cross and was a den mother for the Cub Scouts. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. Veronica enjoyed spending time with her family and will be remembered for always putting others’ needs ahead of her own. She was giving, generous, selfless, faithful, loving and devoted to her husband and family. Veronica will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Veronica’s memory to Jennings Hospice c/o Jennings Center for Older Adults Development Dept., 10204 Granger Rd., Garfield Hts., OH 44125.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, January 15, 2016 at St. Clare Catholic Church 5659 Mayfield Road, Lyndhurst, OH 44124 at 9:30 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Reception to follow where family will receive friends at the DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91).
