VERNA R. GORGON (nee Schultz), aged 101 years, beloved wife of the late John J. Sr., dearest mother of Veronica Kramer (husband Richard – deceased), Laureen Wisniewski (husband Mitchell) and John J. Jr., loving grandmother of Mitchell John (wife Jennifer), Michael (wife Michelle) and Matthew (wife Stephanie) Wisniewski, devoted great-grandmother of M.J., Jack, Henry and Brooklyn, cherished sister of Regina Colman and 7 deceased siblings, treasured aunt, grand-aunt and great-grand-aunt to many.
Mrs. Gorgon was born on November 11, 1913 in Heilwood, PA. She was a 60+ year member of the former St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in South Euclid. She worked for many years at the old Schultz Florist on Noble Rd. in Cleveland Heights. She enjoyed traveling, was an avid reader, and was a devoted Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians fan. She was the gracious host for many holiday gatherings at her home for the entire family and her siblings. She was especially devoted to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 140 Richmond Rd., Euclid, at 11:00 AM. Burial following in All Souls Cemetery. The family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Verna at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON RD. (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91)on MONDAY from 3:00 to 5:00 AND 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
