Valerie Mizek-Divoky

VALERIE A. MIZEK-DIVOKY, age 72, passed away June 17th at the Waterford Assisted Living in Richmond Heights. She was born December 4, 1937 in Cleveland; Valerie is survived by her husband Richard D. Divoky, brother, William J. Mizek, and dear friend Linda Mizek, nephews Michael Mizek, (Marie) of Denver, CO and Mark Mizek of Atlanta, GA; nieces Kathy Carrick and Sr. Laurie Divoky, S.N.D.; she was preceded in death by her parents Helen (nee Smekel) and James Mizek. Valerie graduated in 1955 from Collinwood High School. She retired from General Electric after 43 years employment starting in the Bulb Assembly plant and ending her career at Nela Park as executive assistant. She was a member of the American Business Women’s Association, ABWA, Euclid Chapter where she served a term as President and was active on many committees. Valerie and Richard traveled extensively after she retired taking over 20 cruises throughout the Carribean, Alaska and Europe. They also visited England, Holland and Paris. No formal services will be held. Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Interment will be at Knollwood Cemetery in Mayfield Heights.
