Uda Mary Varricchio

UDA MARY VARRICCHIO (nee Cappellino) age 85, passed away on Nov 9, 2017, beloved wife of the late Enrico, Sr.; loving mother of Maria Buccilli, Enrico Jr (Marissa), RoseMary Geddis (Don), Michael (Patricia), Doreen Urbania, and Steven (Dawn); devoted grandmother of Rebecca Wilde (Justin), David Eisen, Domenic, Nicholas, Vincent, Mitchell Geddis, Allison, Christine, Brittany Necci (Joe), Anthony and Nicole Urbania and Caden; great-grandmother of Teagan and Delaney Wilde; cherished daughter of the late Peter and Dorothea (nee Accardi) Cappellino; dearest sister of Sam Cappellino and the late Rose Bergamasco (Orlando), James (Madeline), Richard (Catherine), Nicholas (Rose), and Peter Cappellino (Sue) and Theresa Sekel (David); dear sister-in law, aunt and great-aunt of many.

Uda was born and raised in Meadville, PA and moved to Ohio after she married the love of her life Enrie. She was a resident of Wickliffe and a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic church for 59 years. Uda was a member of the Wickliffe Welcome Wagon, Wickliffe Mom’s Club, Wickliffe Band Boosters, the Red Hat Society and Card Club. Uda was a housewife and loving mother to her 6 children. She enjoyed baking and cooking for the holidays, family vacations and reunions in Meadville where she was raised. Uda and Enrie enjoyed the music of Jerry Vale, Tom Jones, and Engelbert Humperdink, their song was “Release Me.” She loved spending time with her dear friend Natalie and time at the Wickliffe Senior Center. She was always there for anyone with a smile and a hug. Uda will be remembered most as a loving, kind, strong, sweet and thoughtful woman who was an excellent cook and very committed to her faith and her family. She will be dearly missed by all.

Carmel Catholic Church, 1730 Mt Carmel Dr, Wickliffe, OH 44092 at 10 AM. Burial following at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Uda at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SUNDAY 1-5 PM.
