Toni L. Swierkosz

TONI L. SWIERKOSZ (nee Cordes) age 65, cherished daughter of the late Edward V. Cordes Jr. and Carol L. (nee Wolbert); dearest sister of Dr. Edward V. Cordes (wife Gail); treasured niece of George and Virginia Wolbert; former wife of John Swierkosz. Beloved pet parent of canine companion Pixie Dust.

Toni was born in Queens, New York on July 9, 1952 and passed away on February 10, 2018. A 30-year-resident of Mayfield Heights, Toni previously lived in Chagrin Falls, where she graduated from Chagrin Falls High School. Toni worked as an X-ray technician at the former St. Luke’s Hospital for many years, where she performed mammograms, CAT scans, and MRIs for patients. She also served as treasurer of VFW Post 4358.

Toni enjoyed playing pool, shooting darts, and cheering for Cleveland’s pro sports teams. She was fond of boating and weekends at Put-In-Bay with her girlfriends. Toni believed in the magic of unicorns, and she will be dearly missed by all, especially her beloved dog Pixie Dust.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Toni to The Cleveland Animal Protective League. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Toni at VFW Post 4358, 29412 White Road Willoughby Hills, 44092 SATURDAY, MARCH 3rd 2-5 PM. Cremation by DeJohn Funeral Home.
