THOMAS W. WONNACOTT age 78, beloved husband for 55 years of Judy (nee Killewald); loving father of Thomas A., Valerie M. Lawrence (husband Chad), Ken J., and the late Wendy A.; devoted grandfather of Brooke, Cameron, and Austin Lawrence; cherished son of the late Thomas W. and Sophia (nee Stolecka); dearest brother of the late Dolores Duzen (husband Bill, deceased); dear brother-in-law and uncle of many.
Tom was born on September 14, 1939 in Buffalo, New York, and passed away April 9, 2018. He was a resident of Bainbridge since 1972, and previously resided in Cleveland. Tom was a parishioner of Holy Angels Catholic Church since 1986 where he was a Eucharistic Minister. Thomas attended Hutchinson Central Technical High School in Buffalo where he was a cross country champion. He received a scholarship for cross county to Alfred University where he continued his education and received his bachelor’s degree. He was also a member of the Lamda Chi Alpha fraternity. He spent the school year in Buffalo but then the summers at the lake in Angola, New York. Tom was hired out of college to Ferro Corporation where he spent 42 years until retirement. In addition to his occupation he supported his family with starting a business as a Tax Consultant. He was coach for many years with (KAA) Kenston Athletic Association with baseball, football and wrestling. Tom also organized the KIT (Kenston Invitational Tournament) for High School Wrestling for over 25 years. He had many hobbies which included birding, gardening and growing orchids. Tom also loved to play racquetball and watch the Buffalo Sabers and Bills. Tom will be remembered most as an outgoing, friendly, funny, and hardworking man who was witty with a sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.

Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Relatives and friends are invited to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Monday, April 16, 2018 at 11 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church 18205 Chillicothe Road, Chagrin Falls, OH 44023. Burial following at Restland Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Tom at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) SUNDAY 3-6 PM.
