THOMAS J. “Doc” SANTORE, age 77; beloved husband for 27 years of Louise (nee Vlasich); loving father of Denese (Terry) Guinta, Dawn (David) Grant, Kathleen (Greg) Mumau, Sue Remington and Michele (Brad) Volke; devoted grandfather of 9 and great-grandfather of 11; cherished brother of William (Ruth, deceased) Santore, Rita (“Nock”) Nockengust, and Florence (Joe) Srp. Dear uncle and great-uncle of many.

Mr. Santore died on Wednesday, December 4 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a 29 year resident of Painesville Twp. Previously residing in Chardon.

Doc was born in Cleveland and raised in Mayfield Heights. He worked as an Auto Mechanic for over 50 years retiring from Pat O’Brien Chevrolet. He was a member of the Lions and Eagles Clubs. Doc enjoyed NASCAR racing, fishing, gardening and Browns games. He especially loved attending races in March and August in Bristol. He is described by his family as giving, helpful, kind-hearted, good listener and a great mechanic.

Mr. Santore was preceded in death by his parents Sadie (Totarella) and Thomas A. Santore and sister-in-law Ruth Santore.

Tribute Service Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 6:00 PM at THE DEJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY OF CHARDON (formerly Ritondaro) 126 SOUTH ST. (Rt. 44, south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) where the family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Doc SATURDAY 4 PM until time of service.
