Thomas R. Lanese

THOMAS R. LANESE, age 72; beloved husband for 47 years of Valerie (nee Mastny); loving father of Timothy, Todd (wife Amy Deleva M.D.) and Brian (wife Tracy); devoted grandfather of twins Brodie and Barrett; cherished son of the late Nicholas and Josephine (nee Rini); dear brother-in-law, cousin and friend of many.

Tom was a U.S. Army National Guard Veteran. He attended Villanova and Gilmour High Schools and worked in banking at Society National/Key Bank. A member of St. Noel Catholic Church, he moved to Willoughby Hills from Lyndhurst 20 years ago. An organized planner, he used his talents in Rotary, Lions Club and with Children Services. Tom also enjoyed golfing, tennis, traveling, tinkering with technology and listening to jazz and classical music and soundtracks from musicals. He loved baseball but his family gave him the most enjoyment in life. Many will fondly remember him as a giving man who was a bright, witty storyteller with a great sense of humor.

Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, July 27, 2013 at St. Noel Catholic Church at 10 AM. Burial following at Knollwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Tom at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) FRIDAY 3-5 & 6-8 PM.
