THOMAS M. VALENTA age 65, beloved husband for 44 years of Rebecca (nee Wojtas); loving father of Jennifer Ruscsak and Michelle Petronsky (husband Mark); devoted grandfather of Mark Ruscsak and Mila Petronsky; cherished son of the late James and Mary (nee Zubec); dearest brother of William (wife Dianne) and the late Joanne Mietus (husband Andrew, deceased), James (wife Carmel, deceased) and Fred; dear uncle, great-uncle and friend of many of many. Survived by his loving canine companion, Bear; founding member of Knights of Columbus Sacred Heart of Jesus Council #15023 and member of Archbishop Paul J. Hallinan Assembly 1767 Knights of Columbus 4th degree.

Thomas was born on September 15, 1952 and passed away on April 11, 2018. He was a resident of South Euclid for the past 42 years and previously Cleveland. Thomas was a parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish and formerly a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. He belonged to many organizations, including Knights of Columbus and was a 4th Degree, and the Local #19 Bakers Union. Thomas attended Valley Forge High School and proudly worked as a Baker at Dave’s Super Market. He loved playing slots at casinos and was an avid Cleveland sports fan. Thomas enjoyed listening to the music of Motown, Lionel Richie, and Dean Martin in his free time. Thomas also greatly enjoyed spending time with his dogs. He was fun loving, free spirited, and loved to be around others. Thomas loved to have a good time and was devoted to his family and church. He will be dearly missed by all.

Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 1545 S Green Rd, South Euclid, OH 44121 at 11 AM. Burial following at Holy Cross Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Thomas at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) TUESDAY 4-8 PM.
