Thomas Gilliotti

Thomas Allen Gilliotti of Willoughby passed away on August 29, 2024, at Hillcrest Hospital. Tom was born to Louis & Mary Gilliotti in Euclid on October 25, 1946. Tom is survived by his dearly beloved wife of 40 years, Donna (Huebner), his beloved sister Tina Grzincic and her husband Joe, and his brother-in- law John Huebner and his wife Jeannette. He was a nephew, cousin, uncle and great uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents Louis & Mary Gilliotti, his brother Robert, and his father and mother-in-law Jack & Ruth (Belskis) Huebner.

Tom graduated from Euclid High School in 1964. He attended Ohio University where he graduated with a B.A. in 1968, and later from Ashland University with a M. Ed. In 1992. He started his teaching career at Collinwood HS, and then he returned to his beloved Euclid schools where he taught at Euclid High, Shore Jr. High, Forest Park Jr. High, and Central Middle School. He retired in 2005 as the Director of Educational Technology and Libraries. His best years were at Shore Jr. High teaching industrial arts and coaching the football and wrestling teams that he had participated in when he was a student at Shore. He was very active in the Euclid Teachers Association serving as Vice President and as a member of the negotiations team.

Tom was a true gentleman with a quick wit, and he earned the respect of his friends and colleagues. In their retirement he and Donna loved to travel and especially enjoyed their many cruises. He loved spending a day walleye fishing on Lake Erie. He will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held at Mullally Funeral Home, 28890 Chardon Road, Willoughby Hills, OH 44092 on Wednesday, September 4th from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Family requests no flowers.
