Theresa Tanski

THERESA C. TANSKI (nee Zaremba) age 94, beloved wife of the late Joseph; loving mother of Richard and the late Thomas (wife Judith, deceased) and Stephen; devoted grandmother of Tiffany Poney (Mark), Joseph Tanski, Michelle Tanski, Sean O’Brien, Rory O’Brien-Palmer (David) and great-grandmother of 5; dearest sister of the late Theodore Zaremba, Gertrude Magalenga, George Zaremba, Lucille Slathe, Jane Gillespie and Florence Zaremba and step sister of Eleanore McManus; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Theresa was born on September 19, 1921 in Cleveland and passed away on December 31, 2015. She was a resident of Garfield Heights for 61 years and a faithful parishioner at St. Monica Catholic Church for 61 years. Theresa worked for Harris Wholesale Distribution as a warehouse clerk. She was an avid reader and loved cleaning. Theresa enjoyed listening to Lawrence Welk and polkas. Her family will remember Theresa as a strong, determined, faithful, quiet and reserved woman who was very generous and giving.

Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, January, 9, 2016 at St. Monica Catholic Church 13623 Rockside Rd., Garfield Heights, OH 44125 at 10 AM. Inurnment following at Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Theresa at THE CHURCH SATURDAY MORNING 9 – 10 AM.
