Theodore F. Valvoda

THEODORE F. “TED” VALVODA age 84, beloved husband for 57 years of Mary Alice (nee Fekete); loving father of Michelle Edwards (husband Wayne), John (wife Janine) and David; devoted grandfather of Daniel and the late Douglas; cherished son of the late Theodore and Alice (nee Kral); dearest brother of James Valvoda (wife Mary Ann); dear brother-in-law of Mathew Fekete (wife Claire); dear uncle and great-uncle of many.

Ted was born on February 14, 1933 in Cleveland and passed away on August 21, 2017. He was a resident of Highland Heights for 45 years, formerly of Euclid. Ted was a parishioner of St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church and a dedicated volunteer in the community at Cleveland Clinic and Holden Arboretum. He graduated from Cathedral Latin High School, Borromeo Seminary and received his Master’s degree from John Carroll University. Ted was a faculty member for 35 years and retired from Lakeland Community College. He was an avid reader, loved movies, fishing, gardening and like to cook. Ted will be remembered most as a giving, compassionate, sensitive, fun loving man with a sense of humor. He was very outgoing, social and very animated. Ted will be greatly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Friday, August 25, 2017 at St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Ted at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) THURSDAY 4-8 PM.
