Theodora “Dora” Petrich

THEODORA A. “DORA” PETRICH (nee Alai) age 82, beloved wife of the late Daniel J. ; loving mother of Loraine Marous (husband Eugene), Daniel Jr. (wife Deborah), Mark (wife Dina) and Ronald (wife Brenda); devoted grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 6; cherished daughter of the late Augusto and Amelia (nee Camilla) Alai; dearest sister of Andrew Alai (wife Arlene), Louise Carbone (husband Jim, deceased), Mario, and the late Augusto Jr, and Ronald Alai; dear sister-in-law of Darlene Alai; treasured aunt and great-aunt of many.

Dora was born on January 23, 1937, and passed away on November 28, 2019. She was a resident of Mentor for the past 18 years, and previously lived in Wickliffe. Dora was a cosmetologist and a homemaker, and volunteered for the Lake Metroparks. She enjoyed sewing and knitting, and was an avid reader. She listened to a variety of music, especially Elvis Presley, John Denver, Engelbert Humperdinck, and Johnny Mathis, and loved Christmas music. Dora was outgoing and social. She loved cooking and baking, especially for the Christmas holidays. Dora was strong-willed but also giving and generous, and she will be dearly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church 29850 Euclid Ave, Wickliffe, OH 44092. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Dora at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) TUESDAY 4-8 PM.
