Sylvia Plymesser

SYLVIA PLYMESSER (nee Mihevc), age 88, of Cleveland, passed away at the Slovene Home for the Aged January 3^rd, 2015.  Sylvia was the beloved wife of the late William H.; daughter of the late Joseph and Antonija (nee Miclavec) Mihevc; dear sister of the following deceased:  Josephine “Pep” (husband Albin deceased) Flaisman and Edward L. (wife Glenna deceased) Mihevc; cherished aunt of Alan Flaisman, Alana (Flaisman) (husband Bob) Wallin, Aldon Flaisman, Donna  (husband Walt) Boekley, and Edward (wife Cindy) Mihevic and great-great aunt of many.

Sylvia worked as a secretary at Lumberman’s Insurance and Tempcraft Corp.  She was a life long member of St. Vitus Church, sat on the Board of Directors of Slovenian National Home, member of the Friends of the Slovenian National Home, president of St. Clair Pensioners Club, St. Anne’s Lodge #4,   ALMA, and Slovenian Women’s Union.  She was also a 60 year member of Glasbena Matica Slovenian Chorus and Slovenian Woman of the Year (1996) representing St. Clair Slovenian National Home.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions in Sylvia’s memory to The Slovene Home for the Aged, 18621 Neff Rd. Cleveland, OH  44119, St. Vitus Church or Hospice of the Western Reserve.  Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Tuesday January 6, 2015 at St. Vitus Church followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at THE ZEVNIK-COSIC FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (BETWEEN BISHOP RD AND RT. 91) MONDAY 3-5 & 6-8 PM.
