SUSAN M. RAMEY (nee Compo), age 101, beloved wife of the late Michael; loving mother of Patricia A. Natran (husband Joseph), Celeste M. Wiggins (husband Anthony, deceased) (companion Larry Nelson, deceased), and Michael; devoted grandmother of Christine Mancuso, Deborah Smith, Lisa Smith, Cynthia Blum (Joel), Richard Smith (Laura), Kelly Lazar (Terry), Todd Wiggins (Nancy), Lindsey Barnhart, great-grandmother of 16 and great-great-grandmother of 2; cherished daughter of the late Pasquale and Anna (nee Scacco) Compo; treasured sister of the late Rose DiCicco, Ida Ratino, and Gloria Compo; dear aunt and great aunt of many.
Susan was born on August 17, 1914 in Cleveland and passed away on November 8, 2015. She was a resident of Cleveland Heights for over 70 years, formerly of Little Italy. Susan was a faithful parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church since 2000. She was also a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church in the 1970s, St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in the 1980s and was a Eucharistic minister with St. Philomena Catholic Church. Susan was a member of I.S.D.A., Isabella Guild where she won woman of the year, and the St. Anthony’s Woman Guild. She attended Cleveland Heights High School. Susan worked as a beautician and was an owner/operator of a catering company. She volunteered her time at the gift shop at Huron Road Hospice where she brought communion to patients. Susan loved arts, crafts and cooking. She enjoyed listening to Big Band and Frank Sinatra’s music. Susan will be remembered most for her devotion to family, friends and Church. She left us with a legacy of love and a treasure of memories.

Mass of Christian Burial Friday, November 13, 2015 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 10 AM. Entombment following at Lake View Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Susan at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) THURSDAY 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
