Susan Gonzales

Susan A. Gonzales (nee Trice), age 66 of Newbury passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Hillcrest Hospital.

She was born in Sennett, NY to the late Theodore “Ted” and Bertha Trice. Susan has been a resident of Newbury for the past 10 years and former resident of Middlefield, New York, Alaska and Texas.

She was a member and former President of the Kiwanis Lake Women’s Club.

Susan is survived by her husband of 42 years Claudio “Frank”; children, Terry of TX, Norman of VA, and Michael (wife Kimberly) of Newbury; grandchildren Casey, Kyle, Emily Bailey, Mary, and Theodore; sister Nancy Weaver of NY, Carol Rocha of NC, Connie Miller (husband Peter) of SC. She was a dear aunt and great aunt of many and a cherished companion to her beloved dog Brutus.

Susan was preceded in death by her brother Lee Trice, sister Molly Trice, and brother-in-law Donald Weaver.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Monday, March 30, 2015 at Faith Baptist Church, 12010 Snow Rd., Newbury at 11:00 AM. (Please meet at church) Burial following in Newbury Center Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Susan at THE DEJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY OF CHARDON (formerly Ritondaro) 126 SOUTH ST. (Rt. 44, south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) SUNDAY 2-6 PM.
