Sue Svigel

SUE C. SVIGEL (nee Lorrison) age 88, beloved wife for 60 years of Rudolph; loving mother of David (Theresa), Kevin (Debi), Mathew (Samaly) and Catherine Smith (Bob Simandl); devoted grandmother of Jordan, Jessica Howell (Wade), Chad, Samantha, Gabriella, Mark and Gracie; cherished daughter of the late Thomas and Hazel (nee Townley) Lorrison; dearest sister of Betty Dawson and the late Patsy Haggar and Kay Jarell.

Sue was born on June 28, 1935, in Gordon, West Virginia. She graduated from Van West Virginia High School before moving to Ohio. Sue was a devoted member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church for many years. She loved to cook and was known for her fried chicken and banana bread. Sue enjoyed spending time with her family and especially time with her grandchildren. When she had time, she enjoyed camping, bowling, playing cards and traveling. You could often find her listening to Country music, but she also loved listening to Journey and CCR. Many would describe her as a very caring and loving person and was very family oriented. Sue passed away on August 15, 2023. She will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Sue to St. John of the Cross (click here) or a charity of your choice. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 140 Richmond Rd., Euclid, Ohio 44143 at 11 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Sue at the Church TUESDAY 10 – 11 AM.
