Stella Telzrow

STELLA TELZROW (nee Fazio) age 77, beloved wife for 55 years of Timothy Sr; loving mother of Lisa, Timothy Jr. and Ryan; cherished daughter of the late Thomas and Angela (nee Paccitti) Fazio; dearest sister of Thomas Fazio (wife Mary); devoted sister-in-law of Peggy and the late Fred Fiala, and Kathleen Tichy; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Stella was born in Glasgow, Scotland on November 23, 1945, and moved to the United States in 1947.  She graduated from John Adams High School in 1964 and later went on to work in retail sales at JC Penny.   Stella was a frequent traveler to Scotland, Italy, Ireland and England.   She had a talent for sewing, making costumes for her children when they were young, stitching hospital gowns for hospice and her prize joy was making American Girl doll clothes.  She also enjoyed crafts, often while listening to her favorite music, which included the Beatles, Beach Boys, Phil Collins and Rod Stewart.  Many who knew her would describe her as social, friendly, kind, caring, selfless, strong, and hard working.  Beautiful inside and out, she had a great sense of humor.  Stella fought her Parkinson’s Disease for 20 years, never complaining once, even though she was suffering on the inside.

Above all, Stella’s highest devotions were to her family and faith.  Her children, Lisa, Timothy Jr and Ryan, feel extremely blessed to have had such a wonderful mother and are feeling a tremendous loss.  She would sacrifice anything for her children and was their biggest cheerleader through everything life handed them.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Stella to the Cleveland APL, 1729 Willey Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44113. Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, November 25, 2023, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6850 Mayfield Road, Gates Mills, Ohio at 10:00 AM. A private burial will follow. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Stella at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) Friday 5-8 PM.
