Stella Paparizos

STELLA PAPARIZOS, age 94, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2020. Beloved wife of the late John Paparizos, daughter of Pashalis and Steriani Papouras, cherished mother of Cynthia (Edwin) Pigman, Victoria (Nicholas) Karakasis, loving grandmother of Andrew (Amy) Pegman, Christopher (Carli Lehr) Karakasis, Michael Pegman, Tammy (Matthew) Oliver, Kristen Pegman (deceased), loving great grandmother of Andrew Pegman, sister of the late Harry (Helen), John (Popie) and Thomas (Vickie) Papouras, dear aunt, cousin and friend to many. Born in the United States, she spent her youth in Greece,  having attended the Anatolia School for Girls before returning to America after World War II. She, along with her husband, enjoyed owning and operating a restaurant at the Great Lakes Mall. She loved the Greek culture, baking, music, and dance. Most of all, she loved being with her family and friends. A Founding member and past President of the Nestorion Ladies Philanthropic Society, active member of the church Library and the Daughters of Penelope. Private family services are being held in Knollwood Cemetery. A Memorial Service for friends and family will be held at a later date. Contributions in memory of Stella suggested to the Sts.
