STANISLAVA “SLAVKA” FORTUNA (nee Omahen) age 86, beloved wife of the late Alojz; loving mother of Stella “Stanka” Giegerich (husband Glen) and Louis; devoted grandmother of Christopher (wife Kelly) and Victoria Giegerich and great-grandmother of Gavin; cherished daughter of the late Nace and Ana (nee Piskur) Omahen; dearest sister of Nace Omahen (wife Vida), Joze Omahen (wife Julka), Pepca Spec (husband Lojze, deceased), Justi Pus (husband Franci), Majda Grcar and the late Ana Kotar (husband Tine, deceased), Roza Pevc (husband Franci, deceased) and Vinko Omahen; dear aunt and great-aunt of many. Special thanks to her devoted sister Majda and niece Diane Brescic (husband Damir).

Slavka was born on July 24, 1933 in Stranje, Slovenia and passed away on May 9, 2020. She was a resident of Euclid since 1970 previously residing in Slovenia where she grew up. Slavka was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Collinwood. She retired after 30 years from Cuyahoga Plastics as a molding machine operator. Slavka enjoyed gardening, nature and listening to polkas. She loved crocheting, knitting, cooking and baking. Slavka will be remembered most as a hardworking, tough, helpful and generous woman who had a sense of humor. She was devoted to her family and her faith. Slavka will be dearly missed.
