Simon “Bill Kap” Kaplowitz

SIMON S. “SEYMOUR” “BILL KAP” KAPLOWITZ age 87, beloved husband of the late Hildred (nee Workman); loving father of Adam, Sara Macres, Mike, and Stephanie; devoted grandfather of Marina, Marley, Maggie and the late Alexander; cherished son of the late Phillip and Sophie; dearest brother of the late Joseph, Morris and Jerry Kaplowitz; dear uncle and great-uncle of many. U.S. Army Veteran.

Bill Kap was born on April 15, 1931 in Flint, Michigan and passed away on April 23, 2018. He was a resident of East Cleveland for 20 years, formerly of Kirtland. Bill Kap graduated from John Adams High School and was the owner/operator of Bill Kap Piano since 1959. He loved collecting music boxes and working at his store. Family and friends will remember Bill Kap as a jokester, hardworking, street-smart, and self-made man who was a true entrepreneur. He will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Bill Kap to Make A Wish Foundation, The Hanna Bldg., 1422 Euclid Avenue, Suite 239, Cleveland, OH  44115.

Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Celebration of Life Service SATURDAY, APRIL 28, 2018 at 4 PM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Bill Kap at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SATURDAY 1-5 PM.
