SHIRLEY R. WAGNER (nee Ray), beloved wife of the late Laurence G.; loving mother of Daniel, Mary Petrovich (husband Duane), Joseph, Laurence, and Robert (wife Jane, deceased); mother-in-law of Susan and the late Leona; devoted grandmother of Ryan, Daniel (wife Jacque), Matthew (wife Emily), Lauren (husband Chris), Katlyn (husband Zaid), Mark (wife Emily), Eric, Kat (husband Phill), Joseph, Kristyn, Sarah, and Adam and great-grandmother of Patrick, Deacon, Sloane, Brielle, Maverick, Avery, Liam, Maya, McKenna, Leila, Hamid; cherished daughter of the late Daniel E. and Ann I. (nee Ryan) Ray; dearest sister of Paul Ray (wife June), Richard Ray (wife Rini), and the late Robert Ray (wife Agnes, deceased), Jack Ray (wife Mabel, deceased), Bill Ray (wife Nancy), Dorothy Fuerst (husband James, deceased), Margaret McPherson (husband Fred, deceased) and Carol Ward (husband Timothy, deceased); dear lifetime friend of the late Eileen Sweeney.

Shirley was born on November 16, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio and passed away on May 13, 2021 peacefully in her home with her family by her side. She enjoyed teaching Kindergarten at St. Jerome Catholic School and serving as the Den Mother for Cub Scouts. Shirley was also active in the Mt. Carmel Players and Perpetual Adoration at O.L.M.C. She volunteered for REV’D Up through Eaton Family Credit Union, where she served as their manager for many years before retirement. Above all things, Shirley was a woman devoted to her family and her faith.

Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, May 24, 2021 at St. Jerome Catholic Church 15000 Lakeshore Blvd, Cleveland at 10 AM.

A visitation will be held SUNDAY, May 23, 2021,  2-6 PM for family and friends to celebrate the life of Shirley at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.)
