SHIRLEY M. (nee Ostrowski) TERESI

Mass of Christian Burial for Shirley M. Teresi, 65, will be on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 11:30 AM at The Church of St. Mary, 401 North Street Chardon. Mrs. Teresi died on Wednesday at her home surrounded by her family. She lived in Munson for 22 years, previously residing in Lyndhurst.

Shirley was employed at Staples for 6 years as an Assistant Manager. In addition, she was worked as a real estate agent for Howard Hanna, Century 21, and Salvatore & Caretti. She also worked for Winkleman’s department store. Shirley was a member of the Chardon High School Boosters. She enjoyed collecting glass shoe figurines and was an avid solitaire player. Shirley’s family described her as very optimistic, determined, outgoing, friendly and very slow to anger. Her family especially her children and grandchildren were her whole life.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Anthony G. “Nino,” children Jody M. Kalinowski (husband James) and Anthony J. “AJ” (Jennifer); grandchildren Waylon and Harlan Kalinowski and Ally and Matthew Herman; her brother Theodore “TJ” Ostrowski (wife Bell); brother and sister-in-law James S and Gayle Teresi; many nieces and nephews and her beloved canines Candy, Kaylie, and Hillis.

Mrs. Teresi was preceded in death by her parents Gloria (nee Palatas) and Theodore Ostrowski.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Shirley at the DeJohn Funeral Home & Celebrations Center of Chesterland 12811 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland, OH 44026 (Rt. 306, just south of Rt. 322) SUNDAY 1-4 and 6-8 PM. Burial will follow in Fowlers Mill Cemetery. Contributions be made in Shirley’s memory to the Hospice of the Western Reserve 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44110.
