Shirley Kebhart

April 1, 1950 — October 15, 2024

SHIRLEY KEBHART age 74, beloved wife for 47 years of Kenneth A.; mother of Christopher Wolff, Nicole (Roger) Gifford of Roanoke, Tx, Kristen (Johnathon) Hatfield, and Michelle (Aaron) Raimey; grandmother of 7 grandchildren, Tayler Gifford of Buford Ga, Cortney Gifford of Fort Worth Tx, Kayla Wolff, Johnathon Jr. Hatfield, Dakota Hatfield, Isabella Hatfield, and Leia Hatfield; daughter of the late Vincent and Wilda Casarona; dear sister of Carolyn DeMell and Leigh Ann (Jim) Sperk, and sister-in-law of late Albert DeMell.

Shirley was born on April 1, 1950, in Cleveland, Ohio. In her prime, she was a caring person who wore her heart on her sleeve and gave the shirt off her back. Her best years were spent caring for others, especially the many years she dedicated to being a devoted caretaker to her mother-in-law Helen Kebhart. Her pride and joys were, hopes in leaving a legacy, working on her dream home farm, tending to her horses and her animals, and helping Ken pick green beans from the garden. She always found clever ways to corral the horses back in when they got loose- Denver loved those grape popsicles. She spent time connecting with dear ones in 4-H and fairs, and later, a favorite getaway for her and Ken was Presque Isle Downs and Casino for the horse racing experience. She loved fishing and baseball, where some of her favorite memories were fishing with friends and going to baseball games with her dad as a child, then getting to cheer her husband on from the crowd at his baseball games when Ken played on a league. She was a big politics fan and avid tv-show watcher of her favorite "Chicago Med," "Dancing with the Stars," and "Blue Blood" shows, and loved dancing to Michael Jackson's music. She wore the "Purple Heart" in honor of Ken's military service and her love for supporting veterans. Baseball cards, everything equestrian, art, piano practice, and children's laughter made her smile. At her best, she loved hosting Thanksgiving dinner for her children and husband, where she made her always requested cheesecake that became a family favorite. Although life took her through a difficult journey, she loved her family, her husband, her sisters, her children, and her grandchildren, and the best parts of her life will be cherished and remembered forever, with love.
