Shirley H. Bower

SHIRLEY H. BOWER (nee Heath), age 84; beloved wife for 51 years of the late Kenneth and companion for 8 years of Herb Leppelmeier; loving mother of Charles “Bud” (wife Charlotte), Bernice Ceraolo, Kenneth George (deceased) (Gerri Myers, husband Jim) and Kathleen Bower Gray (husband Jerry Gray); devoted grandmother of 11, great-grandmother of 11 and great-great grandmother of one; dearest daughter of the late Evelyn and George Heath; dear sister of the late Marilyn Frye and niece of the late Marian Scoville; cherished aunt and great-aunt of many; adopted mother and grandmother to many.

Shirley retired as an Office Manager for Dunn Appraisal. She was a member of Al-Anon for many years. Shirley was part of a group instrumental in compiling the history book on the Mayfield area. She was a 1946 graduate of Mayfield High School. She loved many outdoor activities and was a great markswoman. Shirley was active in Scouting and enjoyed helping children. She was a genuine caregiver to all.

Family suggests contributions be made in Shirley’s memory to American Heart Assoc., Alzheimer’s Assoc., or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Shirley at THE DEJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY OF CHARDON (formerly Ritondaro) 126 SOUTH ST. (Rt. 44, south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) THURSDAY 3-6 PM concluding with a TRIBUTE SERVICE at 6 PM.
