SCOTT P. THOMPSON age 56, beloved husband of Kate O’Hara; devoted father of Autumn, Maggie and Chloe; loving step-father of Mary Kate and Meredith; cherished son of  Chauncey and Judith (nee Estvander); dearest brother of Gregg (wife Jill), Tracie Russell (husband Doug), Brad (wife Joy) and the late Daniel (wife Sheila); dear #1 nephew, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend of many. 

Scott was born on September 1, 1963 and passed away on February 22, 2020.  He grew up in Chesterland and lived in Macedonia for the past 27 years.  Scott graduated from West Geauga High School in 1981 and graduated from Cleveland State University in 1991 with a marketing degree.  Scott was director of sales and a founding member of AmeriMulch Company.  He enjoyed playing cards, casinos, and golfing, and was an avid Cleveland and OSU sports fan.  Scott was very social and loved to entertain.  He was extremely devoted to his Catholic faith and family.  Scott was a selfless, generous man who was always friendly and happy and had a great sense of humor.  He will be remembered most as having a zest for life and being a person that you could always count on Scott will be forever missed. 

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Scott at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) on Friday, February 28, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  

Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at St. Anselm Catholic Church 12969 Chillicothe Rd at 11:00 a.m.  Burial to follow at All Souls Cemetery.  

Contributions may be made in memory of Scott to Unbound Child Sponsorship 1 Elmwood Ave. Kansas City, KS 66103.
