SANTINA “TINA” GERRITY (nee Albanese) age 59; beloved wife of the late Gary; cherished daughter of Lillian (nee Derfuhs) and the late Damiano J. Albanese; loving sister of Lisa Folisi (husband Russell), Ramona Albanese-Allen (husband Christopher), Cynthia Albanese, Damiano S. Albanese (wife Amy) and Laura Gielink (husband John); devoted aunt of Katie Brown (husband Scott), Kelley Lee (husband Dustin), Timothy Folisi, Jarrod Maistros, Maddie, Daniel, Elizabeth, Jack and Michael Albanese, Grace, Emma Will, Libby and Graham Gielink and great-aunt of Mikalya and Lily; dearest niece of Annie Heisler (husband Buddy), John Derfuhs (deceased) (wife Virginia); Frank Albanese (deceased) (wife Irma) and Mario Albanese (deceased) (wife Amelia); treasured cousin of Frances Macaluso and many others; dear friend and teacher of many.

Tina was a resident of Euclid for 15 years after moving from South Euclid. After graduating from Regina High School, Tina received her Bachelors and Masters degrees from Bowling Green State University and worked as a Speech Pathologist in California and Cincinnati and Cleveland, OH. She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and enjoyed cooking, playing darts, listening to all kinds of music and loved watching the Cleveland Browns – even though her husband Gary was a Steeler fan. She valued spending time with her family – especially her nieces and nephews. Many will fondly remember her as a big-hearted, intelligent, hard-working, dedicated, person who was always ready to help and lead others, especially her students.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 9 AM at St John Vianney Catholic Church 7575 Bellflower Rd Mentor, OH, 44060. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Tina at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) FRIDAY 2-4 and 5-8 PM.
