Sandra Rose Leonardi

SANDRA ROSE LEONARDI (nee Zenz) age 77, beloved wife of the late Edward Sr., for 53 years; loving mother of Edward R., Jr. (wife Cheryl), Donna, Joseph (wife Ann), and Joanne Rugg (husband Warren); devoted grandmother of Julia Summerhill (husband Charles), Brittany Tisch (husband Aharon), Jacob, Karmella Rugg, Emilie Matias, Brandi Rugg, Dominic Matias, and Drew and great-grandmother of 6, cherished daughter of the late Theodore and Josephine (nee Tack) Zenz; dearest sister of Teddy and Gary Zenz, and the late Carl and William Zenz; dear sister-in-law and aunt. 

Sandra was born on May 12, 1947, in Solon, Ohio. She was a resident of Mayfield Heights and formerly resided in Euclid, Ohio and Las Vegas, Nevada with her husband. Sandy graduated from Solon High School in 1965 and worked as a bus driver for the Euclid School System. She enjoyed going to her children's baseball games when they were younger and watching the Cleveland Indians throughout the years. She also liked cooking Sunday spaghetti dinner, watching her family play poker on the holidays, and cookouts with burnt hotdogs. To say Sandy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother would be an understatement. She truly lived for her family and loved spending time with them, regardless of what they were doing, because it meant they were together. Sandy passed away on June 30, 2024, leaving her family missing the extremely kind, patient, sweet, and giving person they all had the privilege of calling their mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. 

The family will receive friends at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON RD. (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) Wednesday, July 17, 2024, from 4-6:30 PM.

 A prayer service will immediately follow at 6:30 PM.
