Sandra Kelly

SANDRA J. KELLY (nee Penca) of Kirtland, age 66, beloved wife for 39 years of Jeffrey; loving mother of Brian and Kimberly, and Lindsey Downey (husband Kevin); cherished daughter of John and the late Mary (nee Urankar) Penca; dearest sister of John Penca (wife Patricia) and Gary Penca (wife Janet).

Sandy was born on December 16, 1951 and passed away on June 14, 2018. She was born in Euclid, Ohio and resided there until moving to the Kirtland area 20 years ago with her family. She graduated from Euclid High School, and began her career as a receptionist and book keeper at General Electric for 13 years.  She later worked for several healthcare facilities. Sandy was previously a member of the Cleveland Barons Hockey Booster Club and the Euclid Garden Club. She loved to garden and bird watch. In her free time she also enjoyed traveling, collecting dolls and barbies, and watching the Cleveland sports teams. Sandy often listened to the oldies, whether it be the Beatles or Motown, while sitting in the yard she had recently manicured. She was simply a loving person of not only her family, but of animals as well, especially her canine companion Ace. As leaves begin to change colors and snow begins to fall, we will be reminded of Sandy. Christmas was one of her favorite holidays because it meant spending time with her family. She was always happy and could make you laugh through her funny, witty, and sarcastic sense of humor. Sandy was also one of the kindest souls you could ever meet. She cared and loved everyone around her, and for that she will be dearly missed.

Prayers of Christian Burial TUESDAY June 19, 2018 at 11 AM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Sandy at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) MONDAY 4-8 PM.
