Samuel M. Marconi

SAMUEL M. MARCONI, aged 57 years, dearly loved father of Katherine “Katie” (partner Cougar Garey), devoted son of the late Salvatore A. and Maryann (nee Fuchs), cherished brother of Matthew (wife Theresa) and the late Angela, loving uncle of Ryan and Alex, pet-dad to Starla. 

Sam was an amazing dad and a world class body builder. He enjoyed lifting weights in his free time, a lifestyle he kept up with throughout all his years. He competed in over 20 bodybuilding competitions and passed down his love of fitness to his daughter, something he was very proud of. Sam not only had an infectious smile, but a wonderful laugh, unending love and a larger than life personality. Anyone who knew Sam knew everything about his daughter too. No matter how much he spoke, he couldn’t speak highly enough of his daughter Katherine, or his angel pup Starla.

When he wasn’t lifting weights he was dutifully working at Giant Eagle as a Manager where he spent almost 40 years, touching the lives of his customers and peers, daily. Sam had a strong body, an even stronger spirit, and a positive outlook on life. There will never be another Sam Marconi, and anyone who knows him knows him knows that to be true.

He will be missed every single day. 

Funeral service Friday, Feb. 9, 2024, at the funeral home at 1 PM. Burial following in Whitehaven Memorial Park. Family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Sam at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just East of Green Rd.) FRIDAY 11 AM UNTIL TIME OF SERVICE.
