Sam Barresi

SAM BARRESI, age 89, of Willoughby Hills, led a fulfilled life as a husband to Rosemary (nee Parisi) for nearly 64 years. He gave much joy to his family as a cherished father to daughters Donna (Skip) Trombetti, Joanne (Dan) Garofalo and Barbara (Dana Beattie) Barresi; a grandfather to Theresa, Melissa (Chris) Westbrook, Sam, Lindsey, Gina, Matthew, Sara, Andrew, Anna and great-grandson Daniel. Family was the cornerstone of his life as he kept close ties with his sisters and brothers Anna, Frances, Clara, Frank, Mary, Raymond and Russell (who are all deceased) and many nieces and nephews.

He served in the Army during WWII and worked at National Acme for over 35 years as a machinist, but his true love was home and family. Happy on the golf course or at home, he always found time to organize the garage or plant a few seeds. The most important being those sown with love, devotion and dedication to all those he touched. He will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial donations in his name to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, 300 E. 185 St. Cleveland, OH 44119.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 18, 2011 at St. Noel Church.

The Family will receive friends at THE COSIC FUNERAL HOME, 28890 CHARDON RD. (BETWEEN BISHOP RD. AND RT. 91), WILLOUGHBY HILLS THURSDAY EVENING 4:00 – 8:00 P.M.
